Welcome to Healthy Eating Makes the Grade

Healthy Eating Makes the Grade (HEMG) is a partnership between school boards, parents, teachers, students, organizations and city officials in Thunder Bay.HEMG is promoting and advocating for increased nutritious food choices in and around Thunder Bay schools.
There are three main areas that HEMG is actively advocating for:
  1. School Food Gardens

  2. Engaging young people as Food Ambassadorswithin their own schools

  3. Developing a model and policies forHealthy Food Zonesaround schools

This wikispace is designed to keep advocates of the project informed and connected as they move actions forward within each of the three working groups.
Additionally, it is a source of inspiration and encouragement, a space that offers a forum for people to share resources and connect with all those who are
interested and involved in bringing healthy and delicious food to our schools!

Suggestions? Ideas? Interested in contributing to this Wiki?

Please feel free to contact us.
